Dear Parents and Students:
I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer vacation. I am looking forward to the upcoming year at Roger Ludlowe Middle School and I anticipate some exciting opportunities for all of our students. Please mark your calendar that opening day for all students is Monday, August 29, 2022. Orientation will be held for grade 6 students on Friday, August 26th.
Crew supply lists are linked and available on the RLMS website. All summer mailings, schedules and crew letters will be posted through Infinite Campus and on our website (under the “Parent” link) during the week of August 15th. Infinite Campus Messenger is our primary mode of communication with parents. Please take a moment to check your contact information in the contact preference area of the parent portal. The district, schools and teachers use your email address to send notices and correspondence. Your child will receive an explanation of his or her day-to-day schedule on the first day of school.
We are all committed to our children and support them in all that they do. Our hope to connect our students to their social, emotional and academic successes. We all want the best education, the most enriching extra-curricular experiences, and a wide range of opportunities for our children so that they will grow up as caring, ethical, responsible and productive citizens in today’s ever-changing world. The beginning of a school year brings excitement and a renewed sense of purpose. I encourage you to work with your child as the year begins to set personal and academic goals. The RLMS faculty will be encouraging students to revisit their goals throughout each of the marking terms to reflect on their learning. The partnership that we develop as students, parents and educators is essential. By working together, students will develop a sense of responsibility, self-confidence and build the skills necessary for success as lifelong learners.
On September 8th, we will be conducting our parent Open House. We will be inviting all of you to this event in a separate communication.

Due to the current air quality level in Fairfield, ALL outdoor after school activities and events for today, June 7, are canceled. Elementary after school care will take place inside as scheduled.
